Hi, I’m Sebastian, a qualified personal trainer in Edinburgh
I am here to personally support you on your way to getting fitter, looking better and feeling more confident.
From an effective 12-week body transformation, to support with your long - term fitness goals, I will work with you to create and follow an exercise, nutrition and motivation program tailored to you.
Let’s put the “personal” back into personal trainer.
What I mean by this:
You hire a PT so they support you personally and individually, with a tailor-made training program, nutrition plan and other forms of support suited to your needs and preferences, lifestyle and personality, goals and limitations.
Although knowledge and skills are important, I want to emphasise the fact that the relationship you have with your PT is important too. We need to get on to work together.
Fitness changed my life. I want to help you change yours
Sebastian is fantastic! I’ve been working with him for a few months now and my fitness, mobility, and confidence has improved drastically. He is professional, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable. He has completely changed my relationship with exercise and nutrition.

From the very start of my journey with Sebastian, his initial assessment and holistic strategies made me feel I couldn't have chosen a better trainer!.
He is very professional and knows when he can push me, when I’m being a little lazy or when I am done. He is very friendly also and easy going so sessions become quite fun and something to look forward to!
Absolutely loving my personal training with Sebastian. Started in June with very little mobility, poor coordination and form! 12 weeks on I have seen me progress in ways I could only dream.
I would highly recommend Sebastian - he is enthusiastic and knowledgeable and full of advice, and I now feel so confident that I'm doing the right things (safely!) in the gym.
Fantastic trainer. Very motivating and encouraged me to push through to reach my goal. Incredibly knowledgeable on technique and doing exercises safely and effectively. Would 100% recommend Seb as a trainer
Sebastian is a fantastic PT. I would highly recommend him. He worked with me to create a meal plan, advised me on a training plan and then ran a fitness test with me before starting training.

I was very lucky to find Sebastian in 2018, after trying many personal trainers he is certainly the best by far. My fitness journey has been put on hold due to cancer and 2 other operations and he’s been hugely supportive to get me back on track. I am now fitter than I have ever been in my life and my motivation to keep improving is 100%.

Sebastian answers the most frequently asked questions about training with him:
Why should I work with a personal trainer at all?
Whether you want to lose weight, tone up, or simply increase your overall fitness, getting a PT could be the perfect way to finally meet your personal health goals. As well as a bespoke exercise programme, I will also provide you with motivation and general lifestyle advice, including the creation of a personalised nutrition plan, that will work with your exercise routine in order to help you cultivate the best version of yourself.
Is paying for a personal trainer worth it?
Having a personal trainer can make it easier to stick to fitness goals, and can help you get back on track when you’re feeling less motivated.
For example, if you specifically want to lose weight or build muscle, it is important to know which exercises and diets will be effective for your individual goals. Having an experienced PT put together a routine informed by knowledge and expertise means you will be heading in the right direction from the start, and will be able to meet your fitness goals sooner.
Since I have experience with many types of workout, including weight training, HIT, cardio and flexibility training, I will be able to work with you to find the right workout for your goals, and your body. Whatever you want to achieve, I’ll be ready to get you up and motivated before every session.
Do personal trainers help with diet?
Fitness instructors with nutrition education are equipped to make suggestions related to gym performance.
Some of these include suggestions about optimal rest, hydration, and workout-related food intake.
Do I need to be fit to have a Personal Trainer?
Absolutely not! Although many athletes use a PT to push their bodies to the peak of human performance from a base stage of good fitness, there is no designated starting point for having a personal trainer. In fact, having a PT can be an excellent way to get fit in the first place, as having someone there to motivate you when you are less confident in your abilities can be a huge help.
Whether you want to run a marathon or just be able to run for the bus without getting completely out of breath, I’m here to help you achieve those goals.
How often should I come?
For top-quality results I recommend weekly sessions. If you’re on a budget you can always do them less frequently, for example fortnightly or monthly, however having a consistent weekly workout is ideal for keeping the ball rolling and making sure you commit to meeting your fitness goals. After each time we meet you’ll be given instructions on what to do until our next session, so don’t worry, you won’t be left clueless when working out on your own.
Am I too old for this?
You’re never too old to work out! Whether you’re 16 or 86, anyone can benefit from a personal trainer. If you are older, it is important to be aware how the aging of your body can affect which exercises are effective and safe. Having a PT can help you understand your body better; know your strengths but also be aware of limitations. For example, to keep muscle tone as we age, low impact strength exercises are ideal. If you want to improve your balance, posture and flexibility, there are exercises that can help with that too.
Will it hurt?
It might! If you’ve never formally exercised before, or even if you haven’t worked out in a while, it’s pretty normal to feel some muscle pain. Things like proper warm-ups and cool-downs, stretching and even warm baths can help alleviate a lot of this tenderness. Although I think that the phrase ‘no pain no gain’ is a bit harsh, when you push yourself harder than you have before it is natural to experience some muscle soreness. As your body rests, it is getting stronger and adapting to exercise. As you progress through the sessions, they will become more difficult as your body strengthens and becomes able to take more strain. This increase in difficulty helps your body become fitter and stronger week by week.
I have an existing medical condition, is it safe for me to exercise?
During the initial consultation, every client must fill out a Pre-Exercise Questionnaire. Any medical conditions will be taken into account when constructing your fitness programme, and if it’s necessary, your doctor’s advice and approval will be requested.
Do I need my own equipment?
No. All necessary equipment will be provided.
How long are your sessions?
About 55 minutes, give or take.
How often should I train?
Difficult to give a generic answer to this question. This will be discussed in your Consultation after reviewing your goals, but the short answer is that the more you put in, the more you will get out. Of course, time and money will also influence how often you train.
Is the nutritional advice and programming given at an extra cost?
No. As nutrition is a key aspect of your health and fitness, it is included in the standard cost of your training sessions.
I want to commit to a good number of sessions but don’t have the funds to pay for them all at once, what are my options?
If you want to, you can pay an affordable deposit, then split the cost across monthly instalments. You could also train with a friend, colleague or partner and divide the cost at no extra charge.
What variety of training options do you provide for clients?
I can work from most spaces, whether it be at a public gym, at your home, in the park, in a private gym or even at your office. Modern life, particularly in Edinburgh, can be busy and difficult to balance, so whatever your situation we can discuss the options and work out what’s best for you.
How do I book in?
Simply fill in the contact form and I will personally get back to you. It really is that easy!
